MIAMI, FL — May 22, 2024 — It has come to our attention that some local articles contain inaccurate information regarding Vizcaya Museum and Gardens’ admission policies for Memorial Day weekend. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify that Vizcaya Museum and Gardens does not currently operate as a state park and, as such, is not participating in the free admission program announced by Governor DeSantis for state parks over the Memorial Day weekend.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark dedicated to the preservation of the estate’s natural and cultural resources. We operate as a 501c3 non-profit organization, independent of state park status and funding. Our standard admission fees will remain in effect throughout the Memorial Day weekend.
Vizcaya participates annually in the National Endowment for the Arts Blue Star Museum program which offers complimentary general admission to our United States active military and up to 5 family members from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day. Tickets must be purchased on-site at Admissions. Valid DD Form 1173 ID Card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID Card must be shown for verification.
We understand and appreciate the community’s enthusiasm for visiting our beautiful grounds, and we encourage all visitors to plan their visit by checking our official website for the latest information on hours, ticket prices, and special events.
We apologize for any confusion the article may have caused and look forward to welcoming you to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
