MIAMI – Mar. 11, 2026 – Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, in partnership with Urban Health Partnership, Food and Nutrition for All Collaborative (FNFA) and Overtown Farms, is proud to announce the 2026 edition of “Dinner for Farmers.” This year’s gathering will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the historic Vizcaya Village, 3250 S. Miami Ave., Miami. With the theme “Flavors of the Tropics,” the event celebrates Caribbean culture and the tropical flavors that unite South Florida’s food community — honoring the roots that built agriculture and exploring the momentum driving it forward.
“The Dinner for Farmers is one of the most meaningful expressions of Vizcaya’s living mission,” said Sheila Gutierrez, Vizcaya’s Agriculture and Market Programs Manager. “This year, we’re grounding the evening in the spirit of the land itself — in the medicine, nourishment, and wisdom that come through the crops, the hands, and the communities that have sustained South Florida for generations.”
Since 2016, the “Dinner for Farmers” program has honored the farmers, ranchers, chefs, educators, and key food actors who sustain local food systems across South Florida. This invitation-only event brings together those dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture through exceptional dining, high-impact networking, and cultural celebration.
Attendees will enjoy an immersive farm-to-table menu prepared by Chef Chrys, featuring ingredients sourced from partnering farms across South Florida and the Caribbean. The evening also offers a rare opportunity for high-impact networking — bringing together farmers, ranchers, educators, chefs, and food advocates against the backdrop of Vizcaya’s historic agricultural site — alongside live entertainment featuring vibrant rhythms and performances inspired by Caribbean culture and the culinary traditions of the tropics.
“Events like Dinner for Farmers remind us that food systems are built through relationships: between farmers, chefs, educators, and the communities they nourish,” said Arely B. Lozano Cantu, Director of Health Access and Livability at Urban Health Partnerships.
“Through the Food & Nutrition for All (FNFA) Collaborative, we’re proud to stand alongside partners like Vizcaya, Overtown Farms, and Urban Oasis Project to celebrate the people who steward our land and strengthen local food access across South Florida. When we honor farmers and the ecosystems that sustain them, we are also investing in the health, culture, and resilience of our communities.”
This year’s culinary experience is led by the renowned Chef Chrys of Dunns Overtown Farms, whose menu draws from a sweeping arc of ingredients sourced from farms stretching from Palm Beach to the coast of Belize. The menu focuses on delicate native species, hardy perennials, seasonal staples, and indigenous plants that have nourished and healed communities since the first inhabitants touched the soils of South Florida and the broader Caribbean region.
