MIAMI – [February 2, 2024] – Anticipation builds as the 16th Annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon approaches, set to take place on March 5, 2024, at the iconic Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. This year’s event promises to bring together over 300 of Miami’s most philanthropic individuals in a celebration of history, fashion, and community spirit.

Dubbed “the hat luncheon” for its spectacular display of guest attire, this event is known for its fashionable hats ranging from elegantly classic to daringly avant-garde. Set against the backdrop of Vizcaya’s stunning architecture and lush gardens, these vibrant hats contribute to the whimsical atmosphere of this critical fundraiser, dedicated to the museum’s historic preservation.

“This vibrant celebration of Spring elegantly mirrors the season’s spirit of rejuvenation, paralleling the continued commitment to the preservation of this National Historic Landmark and ensuring its legacy blooms anew each year,” shared Cammy Richards, Vizcaya’s Director of Special Events.

The luncheon will commence with a cocktail reception in the Main House Courtyard, where guests will gather amidst the indoor garden’s natural beauty, accented with their colorful hats and stylish ensembles. Following this, the celebration will continue on the estate’s waterfront East Terrace, transformed into a garden-themed tent complete with floral accents, setting the stage for a sumptuous luncheon catered by Thierry Isambert Catering and Design.

Emmy-awarded anchor Laurie Jennings returns once again as Emcee, alongside Vizcaya Executive Director Joel Hoffman. The program includes a selection of exciting raffle items, live modeling, and entertainment.

A highlight of the luncheon is the annual fashion contest, judged by a panel of esteemed fashion and style experts. Contestants will compete in categories such as Most Elegant Ensemble, Best Hat, and Most Avant-Garde.

The luncheon’s Co-Chairs for this year are Swanee DiMare, Eilah Campbell-Beavers and Christy Martin. The committee includes distinguished members of the community: Eilah Campbell Beavers, Swanee DiMare, Sandra Fiorenza, Sonia Gibson, John Grisham, Camila Guiribitey, Marile Lopez, Christy Martin, Sheila Martinez, Stephanie Mayer, Nancy McCormick, James Murphy, Cammy Richards, Yvonne Rosemeir, Tatiana Teo, Lydia Touzet, Josie Wang, Alexa Wolman and, Suzy Buckley Woodward.

We are proud to have Neiman Marcus Coral Gables return as the Fashion Sponsor. Our gratitude extends to all sponsors, including Shaw Ross International Importers, DiMare Fresh and Terra for their invaluable support.
