Let your imagination sprout and bloom at the Plant Masquerade at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Inspired by Disney’s Dapper Days, this themed dress-up occasion brings together the splendor of nature and the artistry of human creativity.
Join us on Sunday, April 21st, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, as we invite the public to visit the estate dressed in DIY costumes and intricate makeup looks inspired by their favorite plants and flowers. What better way to celebrate April as Earth Month!?
A Canvas of Creativity: Dive into your wardrobe and let creativity take root for this themed dress-up day. Whether you choose to embody the delicate allure of a rose, the majestic stance of a fern, or the vibrant hues of a tropical bloom, your plant or flower-inspired costumes and makeup looks will intertwine with the lush landscapes of Vizcaya’s historic gardens and grand Main House, transforming you into a moving piece of living art.
- Stroll and Marvel: Wander through the sun-dappled paths of Vizcaya’s expansive gardens, explore the opulent rooms of the Main House, and see how your costume becomes part of the estate’s living, breathing landscape.
- Capture the Moment: Don’t miss the chance to capture your masquerade memories with stunning photographs set against the backdrop of Vizcaya’s architectural and natural beauty.
- Enter to Win: Post photos of your plant-inspired creations at Vizcaya to Instagram and tag @vizcaya_museum for a chance to win a Friends and Family level membership. A winner will be selected at random from online submissions. The winner will be announced by May 3, 2024.

While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
