Ups & Downs: Managing Life’s Challenges Through Art

January 25
Expired!

AT 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

$5 – $10

Led by Dr. Patricia Isis, this program offers a unique and creative approach to embracing life’s transitions and inevitable ups and downs with the help of art therapy.

During this workshop, you’ll explore:

  • Bridge Metaphors: Learn to visualize life’s uncertainties and transitions through the powerful symbolism of bridges, transforming the unseen into the seen.
  • Personal and Collective Growth: Explore the bridge as a symbol of hope, connection, and navigating life’s obstacles.
  • Creative Expression: Engage in personal imagery and symbolism through art and movement, reflecting on your unique journey through life’s transitions.

The workshop culminates in a creative exercise where participants construct a personal bridge, representing their journey from where they have been to where they are heading. This hands-on activity is not just about creating art; it’s a powerful exercise in deliberate decision-making and problem-solving, offering insights into personal transition styles and choices.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Enhanced Self-Awareness: Discover the multifaceted meanings of bridges in your life, enhancing self-awareness and realizing your innate potential.
  • Artistic Exploration: Utilize simple art materials under Dr. Isis’s guidance to express your life’s journey, whether in 2D or 3D forms.
  • Somatic Experiences: Experience safe and therapeutic approaches to accessing and understanding your emotions and transitions.
