Miami New Times presenta "Pastiche", donde el pasado se une al presente en Vizcaya

Un llamativo expositor con tres intrincadas esculturas de cerámica azul adornadas con detallados motivos inspirados en el mar, como conchas, corales y vida marina. Estas esculturas se asientan sobre una superficie de madera pulida con una base de marco dorado, reflejando la luz con elegancia. El telón de fondo es una vívida pintura marítima que representa veleros en un puerto durante la puesta de sol, con mástiles, jarcias y un cielo resplandeciente que añaden profundidad y contexto al tema náutico.

Desde hace tiempo, el objetivo de la escultora Lauren Shapiro es trabajar en el Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, un lugar que ella considera de ensueño para un artista.

La casa convertida en museo contiene una mezcla de diversas épocas y estilos artísticos, como el barroco, la influencia española y el neoclásico, entre otros. "El edificio en sí es como una mezcla de diferentes estilos y materiales", explica a New Times en una entrevista en la finca.
