The James Deering Society Patrons Circle members believe in the value of Vizcaya and make an annual financial commitment to advance the museum’s mission and programs.
As valued friends of Vizcaya, Circle donors receive exclusive access to special luncheons, private tours and programs that celebrate and illuminate the work of preservation and learning at the museum.
These unrestricted donations are critical to ensuring Vizcaya’s future. Member support immediately helps to offset daily maintenance and preservation work as well as ongoing activities, which engage our community.

Vizcaya's Endowment Fund
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Endowment Fund was formalized in 2003 to ensure the museum’s long-term financial health. Your donation to the Endowment Fund is a self-renewing gift, since the current drawdown policy of 5% per year allows the principal to grow while generating a reliable income stream in perpetuity.
Our goal is to significantly increase the Endowment’s corpus in the near future so that additional resources are available to support the museum’s mission, including funding for:
- a growing portfolio of learning programs for youth, students and adults;
- collections’ care, research and critical restoration projects;
- long-deferred capital improvement projects; and
- annual operations.

Matching Gifts
Many companies offer matching gift programs where they complement the charitable donations of their employees with a corporate contribution of equal or greater value. If your employer offers such benefits, you can obtain a matching gift form from your Human Resources department and submit it to Vizcaya along with your charitable donation.
Our Major Gifts Office will then reach out to your employer to ensure your gift is matched.
