So Much To Do and See at Vizcaya Village
Vizcaya is a tradition for Miami locals. We explore its gardens and halls to soak in local history. We celebrate quinces and weddings here and make it our own playground as children on fieldtrips. Yet, there’s a side of Vizcaya that even locals may not know – Vizcaya Village.
Exploring an Agricultural Past
Informed by the European villas that inspired the creation of the estate, Vizcaya included its very own farm and village. Located on the west side of South Miami Avenue, Vizcaya Village was built alongside the Main House c. 1916 and designed to house crops and farm animals.
Echoing the Village’s agricultural past, today’s visitors can enjoy this historic space every week at the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market.
Vizcaya Village Farmers Market | Every Sunday
The market gathers dozens of vendors offering locally grown and hand-crafted goods every Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Watch the video to go behind-the-scenes and inside the market.
Through the Urban Oasis Project, the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market proudly offers SNAP benefits for local fruits and veggies from local farms.
