Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is opening its beautiful bayfront gardens on Sunday, May 10, just in time for Mother’s Day. With 10 acres of outdoor gardens, Vizcaya offers the community ample space to maintain social distance with a low-density experience.

Vizcaya is able to open its gardens as part of Miami-Dade County Emergency Order 21-20 (EO 21-20) which allows the opening of County parks, marinas and golf courses.

With safety at the forefront of reopening operations, all guests and staff must wear face coverings and maintain a social distance of 6 feet from other visitors and staff. Family groups of less than 10 as described in EO 21-20 are allowed but must observe face covering and social distance regulations. Restrooms will be thoroughly cleaned per EO 21-20 as well as regular cleaning of frequent-touch surfaces. Garden paths that are narrow will become one-way for foot traffic.

To provide a touchless admission process, all visitors must purchase tickets online at www.vizcaya.org and bring proof of purchase with them. Temporary special pricing is in effect to encourage the community to come out and enjoy Vizcaya’s Italian-style gardens, with a Miami flair, the breezes from Biscayne Bay, and the lovely Miami Spring weather.

Vizcaya’s operating days have temporarily changed. Vizcaya is open Thursdays through Mondays, with admissions from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Visitors should bring water in a reusable bottle as the Café & Shop remains closed, and an umbrella should there be inclement weather as all indoor spaces including the Main House remain closed. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is located at 3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129.
