A Gilded Glam Celebration Takes Over Vizcaya on November 23, 2019

For more than 100 years, Vizcaya has added a touch of European style to the Miami aesthetic. This year’s Vizcaya Ball samples the estate’s most elaborate spaces with the theme “Rock Your Rococo.” Emceed by NBC 6 anchor Roxy Vargas, the 63rd Annual Vizcaya Ball raises funds for the continued preservation of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, ensuring this National Historic Landmark remains a community resource for future generations.

An eclectic vision, Vizcaya features a collection that spans design periods and, although diverse, it is ever European. From the Music Room to the Espagnolette Bedroom and everywhere in between, we find gilt armchairs, canopies, pearls and twisting garlands on painted canvas walls. The Main House is a tapestry of 18th century French Rococo elements imported from Milan, Paris and other capitals of style.

The Vizcaya Ball draws breath from these design elements to bring a glittering fantasy to life in one spectacular evening. As one of the most celebrated formal affairs in Miami, the Vizcaya Ball will begin with a red carpet entrance, leading into the Courtyard. The evening will continue with entertainment and an elegant dinner overlooking Biscayne Bay. A spectacular fireworks display, high above the historic Stone Barge, will top off the festivities.

The fundraiser is co-chaired by Christy and David Martin as well as Alexa and Adam Wolman. Vizcaya Ball Committee members are Jenni Coba, Aldy Concepcion, Victor Diaz, Swanee DiMare, Roxanna Garciga, Sonia Gibson, Linda Levy Goldberg, Cathy Jones, Marile Lopez, Ariel Penzer Milgroom, James Murphy, Susan Rutrough, Timothy Walker, Betty Wohl and Suzy Buckley Woodward.

The Vizcaya Ball’s Sponsors include Overfinch as Automobile Sponsor and Republic National Distributing Company as Beverage Sponsor.
