IlluminArts and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens are excited to present their fourth collaboration, Songs of the Night, a dazzling concert of music inspired by the beauty and mystery of Vizcaya.
The concert opens with the brilliant sounds of trumpets ringing across the Vizcaya courtyard in Benjamin Britten’s Fanfare for St Edmundsbury. As the trumpet calls fade away, we shift to the lush sounds of a string quartet accompanying baritone Jonathan Beyer in gorgeous music from Samuel Barber and Gerald Finzi. Peppered throughout the program, a string sextet adds fire, blazing through Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic Souvenir de Florence.
This hour-long concert will take place in the Courtyard of Vizcaya’s Main House.
Experience an unforgettable evening of classical melodies against the backdrop of a mesmerizing full moon rising over Biscayne Bay.
