Climate change is impacting us all, in ways we expected, and in surprising ways too.
On August 10, Vizcaya is bringing the community together to share our stories about the impacts of climate change during the Climate Against Humanity program. We’re not talking about projections for the far or near future, but things are happening today – as we speak. Here are some examples of the stories we’re looking for:
- Has the changing climate affected your mental and/or physical well-being? Relationships? Wallet?
- How has your backyard or neighborhood changed?
- Have you faced a natural disaster?
- Plus, any other stories about nature, the environment, the world, climate, and more!
If you have answers to any of these questions, then you have the start of a story!
Not a Speaker? No Problem!
If you don’t have speaking experience or a little podium shy, don’t worry. Storytellers will get FREE coaching, so you don’t have to be a professional.
Vizcaya’s has partnered with RAW Storytelling’s Enid Casablanca to provide storytellers with tips and tricks for better storytelling and confidence in front of people.
Individual coaching sessions happen virtually, where Enid will walk you through the basics of how to make and share a great story!

To promote inclusion for all, Vizcaya ensures that all community programs, after-hour and weekend events for locals, feature activities that are physically accessible to all visitors. While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
