If you’re from Spain or Latin America, the Mediterranean architecture at Vizcaya no doubt reminds you of home.

But this influence is evident in the interior design of the Main House as well. For example, the aptly named Espagnolette bedroom was inspired by a popular style of Spanish dress.

Si eres de España o Latino América, puede que te sientas cómodo en Vizcaya. La arquitectura mediterránea sin duda te recuerda tu tierra natal.

Pero esta influencia también es evidente en el diseño interior de la Casa Principal. Por ejemplo, el acertadamente llamado dormitorio Espagnolette fue inspirado por un estilo de vestido popular de España.

Celebrating Indigenous People’s Day with a look back at the Vizcaya Late takeover with Rev. Houston R. Cypress (@ottercypress), from the Otter Clan of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, from this past May.
Big thanks to participating artists from @voicesoftheriverofgrass, a group fueled by appreciation for the landscapes and waterscapes of the Greater Everglades.

📌Daniel Tommie shared the art of carving cypress wood canoes
📌A fashion show by #RenéeManyari traveled from the formal gardens to the oval plaza.
📌Callie Willie painted live along the Statuary Walk.
📌Illuminated sculptures by local artist, [@dnasab], filled the Main House Courtyard and gardens.

Celebrando el Día de los Pueblos Indígenas con un vistazo a la toma de control de Vizcaya Late por parte del Reverendo Houston R. Cypress (@ottercypress), del Clan de la Nutria de la Tribu Miccosukee de Indios de Florida, en mayo pasado. Un gran agradecimiento a los artistas participantes de @voicesoftheriverofgrass, un grupo impulsado por el aprecio por los paisajes y los ecosistemas acuáticos del Gran Everglades.
