TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Directions to Vizcaya during the Miami Marathon

Visitors should be aware that Sunday, February 2, is the day of the Miami Marathon. This will result in a number of road closures and traffic delays throughout the city from approximately 6:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Access may open sporadically or earlier, but we recommend following these instructions to avoid potential road closures. Please plan accordingly by checking the local traffic advisory.

ARRIVAL AT VIZCAYA | South Miami Avenue and other main roads will be closed during the marathon, with the following closure times:

  • South Miami Avenue – Southbound: Closed from 6:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • South Miami Avenue – Northbound: Closed from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The best way to reach Vizcaya during the road closures on Sunday is to enter Vizcaya Village through the gate located on US-1 North, as shown on the map below.

This gate is located just before SW 32nd Road. Look for Vizcaya security personnel directing traffic into the Village parking lot.

VIZCAYA VILLAGE FARMERS MARKET & NEW VILLAGE CAFE | To arrive at Vizcaya’s main house and gardens, you’ll pass by the Village. Take the opportunity to explore the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market, which will be opened from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday inside the historic farm and village on the west side of the estate. Please note that hours will be adjusted for February 2nd only, with regular market hours resuming on February 9th.

You can also grab a bite at the Vizcaya Village Cafe located inside the Superintendent’s House, which opens from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every weekend.
