Summer Camp Field Trips

  • Summer Camp Field Trips

Counselors and campers, visit Vizcaya this summer!

Vizcaya welcomes summer camps throughout June, July and August. Groups of campers will enjoy learning about Vizcaya, the arts, history and the environment. Four experiences are available to reserve:

Main House:
Exploring Vizcaya – Navigate the Main House in small groups using Vizcaya’s estate map, make notes, take photographs, and work with your team of campers to search for objects, clues and details to learn more about James Deering and his winter estate.

Fantastic Creatures – Through drawing, creative writing and group discussions, discover the mythological creatures that live in Vizcaya’s art and design. Campers sketch their own mythological creature as part of this experience.

The Living Garden – activate your senses on a tour of the gardens. Touch, smell, observe and listen to the natural environment, while you explore native ecosystems and Vizcaya’s formal gardens.

The Mythical Garden– The formal gardens at Vizcaya are home to fanciful, imaginary creatures. Explore these mythical sculptures to discover their stories and secrets through drawing, creative writing and group discussion.
